Established in 2000 as a business consulting firm, ELCnetworks, LLC has assisted in the formation, management, and financing of intellectual property for nine years. Since its founding in 2001, ELC has expanded the firm’s services to include general intellectual property management, legal practice, creation of the business organization, corporate business consulting, product development, and engineering consulting.
Using a highly specialized team of in-house experts and outside associates consisting of intellectual property and corporate attorneys and product developers, the company fills vital niches in the technology and business management industries. Some of ELC’s clients have ideas or inventions upon which they would like to capitalize but either do not have business, technical, or legal expertise to manage their idea. Others need management of their existing patents, copyrights, or trademarks and a liaison with their general counsel.
Patenting an idea is the easy part—capitalizing upon it is more difficult. Due to the fact that a high majority patented inventions fail to be capitalized or sold, ELC endeavors to assist inventors and technology companies in making their ideas profitable and protected. Confidentiality of non-protected intellectual property ideas, such as trade secrets and pending intellectual property protection, is assured and all employees and contractors are bound by non-disclosure and non-compete contracts. Upon the client’s request, ELC will also maintain confidentiality regarding business plans.
